Umeå University is currently seeking a Research Engineer and a First Research Engineer to be responsible for operation and performance of structural and cell biology analyzes with advanced Cryo-Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), direct Electron Detector and Focused Ion Beam Scanning Electron Microscope (FIB-SEM) instruments.

At UCEM; http://www.kbc.umu.se/english/ucem), one of the joint faculty research infrastructures at Umeå University, is a new facility for cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) in construction. The facility is a node in the national cryo-EM establishment included in SciLifeLab platform for Structural Biology (https://www.scilifelab.se/facilities/cryo-em/). UCEM and the new cryo-EM facility are closely collaborating with The Laboratory for Molecular Infection Medicine Sweden, MIMS, the Swedish node of the Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine (www.mims.umu.se<http://www.mims.umu.se>). It is part of the university’s core facilities in lifesciences and biomedical research at the Chemical Biological Cente, KBC (www.kbc.umu.se<http://www.kbc.umu.se>).
