Positions available in Cell Biology at UTSW
The appointment of a new Chair and a move to new space on the basic
research campus provide opportunities for expansion of the Department of
Cell Biology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, a
world-class institution. The future of Cell Biology lies in integrating
complex and dynamic cellular processes through collaborative,
interdisciplinary research, and applying quantitative approaches towards
understanding mechanism. Thus, we seek to appoint exceptional and
collaborative scientists who are doing cutting-edge research across a
broad spectrum of Cell Biology including, but not limited to, membrane
trafficking, the spatial and temporal organization of signal
transduction, cytoskeletal dynamics, cell migration, cell-matrix
interactions, nuclear organization and function and organelle biogenesis
and dynamics. Candidates should have a proven record of success and be
addressing significant biological questions. Successful candidates will
join an interactive department with an internationally recognized
faculty and have opportunities to collaborate with other outstanding
researchers in biophysics, biochemistry, live cell microscopy, systems
biology and translational research. Preference will be given to
candidates at the starting Assistant Professor (tenure-track) level. An
exceptional start-up package, outstanding core facilities, world-class
graduate student programs and mentorship provide an environment for
success. Women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should email their curriculum vitae, the names of three
references, and a brief description of their research accomplishments
and goals to the attention of Sandra Schmid at
_cb.recruitment at utsouthwestern.edu_.
