Dear 3dem'ers,
We have been using a Zeiss SCAI film scanner since 1996. It has worked
well and we have just had it upgraded to operate under Photoscan
Windows. According to Russell Roe, who is the Intergraph technical
consultant (Intergraph is the company that supplies sales, service and
support for the SCAI), there is a robust market in refurbished SCAI film
scanners. This is because many members of the aerial photography
community are switching over to digital aerial cameras and, as a result,
many SCAI scanners are available for refurbishment.
The current price for a refurbished SCAI is $90,000 (US). Anyone
interested should contact Russell at the Cc'd email address. If you are
from outside Europe, Russell will put you in contact with a local
representative.
