*POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS -- Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Columbia
University*
By using cryo-EM, my laboratory seeks to understand, on the molecular
level, the mechanism of translation and translational control by
cryo-electron microscopy of functional ribosome complexes, both in
bacteria and eukaryotes. Several Postdoctoral positions (both HHMI and
NIH) are available. Background should be in one of the following areas:
ribosome biochemistry, cryo-EM, or computer modeling/bioinformatics. The
new EM facility at Columbia University Medical Center comprises FEI F30
(Polara) and F20 instruments. In addition, access is available to the EM
facilities of the New York Structural Biology Center. -- *Joachim Frank.*
Please send curriculum vitae, a brief statement describing prior
research and future goals, and the names of three references to
*Tornubari Barinee (e-mail: tb2319 at columbia.edu
<mailto:tb2319 at columbia.edu>, fax: 212-305-9500).*
/HHMI offers excellent salaries and benefits. HHMI is an
Equal Opportunity Employer./
