Postdoc positions to study molecular structure of muscle filaments
Two postdoctoral positions are available for enthusiastic and motivated
applicants in the laboratory of Dr. Roger Craig at University of
Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester, Massachusetts. Our research
focuses on the molecular structure of myosin and actin filaments and
molecules using electron microscopy and image reconstruction. The goal
is to understand the structural basis of muscle contraction and
regulation at the molecular level. Experience in one or more of the
techniques of cryo-electron microscopy, negative staining, serial
sectioning, or image reconstruction techniques (helical, single
particle, tomographic) is preferred. Excellent EM facilities are
available. Both positions are NIH supported for five years and
available now. For more information contact Roger Craig at
roger.craig at umassmed.edu (Tel. 508 856 2474).
