The Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) is opening, on a
very short timeline, a Junior Professor Chair position
(tenure-track) in the following research area:
“In situ study
of cellular nanomachines and macromolecular complexes, notably
– but not exclusively – in the context of infections or
cellular stress.”
Teaching duties (60 hours per year prior to tenure)
will be carried out at UGA in the following fields:
Biochemistry and structural biology,
Infectiology and immunology,
Advanced microscopy methodologies,
Biology teaching, including the interface between
biology and artificial intelligence.
The research project will be conducted at the Institut
de Biologie Structurale (IBS), which carries out cutting-edge
research in integrated structural and cellular biology, both
fundamental and applied. IBS has access to state-of-the-art
technological platforms, including biophysics,
crystallization, NMR, super-resolution and electron
microscopy.
Located on the EPN campus, IBS works in close
collaboration with leading European partners – ESRF, EMBL, and
ILL – within the Partnership for Structural Biology framework.
