<div>This workshop will be focused on the intersection of machine learning and cryogenic electron tomography (cryoET), specifically addressing the challenge of annotation and segmentation of tomograms.<span> </span> One goal of the workshop is to facilitate discussions between the<span> </span> ML and cryoET communities. Part of the agenda of the workshop will be to discuss the outcomes of the recent CryoEM Object Identification Kaggle competition.<span> </span> We will have presentations from CryoET methods developers as well as from some of the winners of the <a href="https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.kaggle.com/competitions/czii-cryo-et-object-identification/overview__;!!Mih3wA!GqP_zSmaLkkyatfut2BQYf_V1mVv1Hng4TNxFtBti7Ssy2Kz7jYBO8e4yGtf2RI5bgGBWImXhrVs_KYmG0wZTC-WSXw$">Kaggle competition</a>.<span> </span> We also hope to gain insights from the results of the challenge and get input on the design of future object identification challenges.</div>
