to stress in the model organism <i>Saccharomyces cerevisiae.</i> La-related proteins have recently been shown to stabilise stalled ribosomes under stress conditions, and you will use cryoEM to elucidate the mechanism. Working directly with the system in the
model organism allows in-vivo observations and experiments to be designed, e.g. selected mutations, functional studies, stress response phenotype—to understand the mechanism in live context.</b></span></div>
