<div dir="auto">Hi Denis, I had meant to write earlier. We also had vibration problems that were amplified by having a large monitor sitting on the microscope table. It acted like an acoustic antenna. Mounting the monitor from behind without contact to the
table did wonders.</div>

<div>Just a quick update since we solved the problem, a big thank to Matthias Stumpf from Simple Origin for his help.</div>

<div>The answer was a sound coming from the fans of the Power Supply of the microscope at a frequency of 393 Hz, see image below (the dotted line in the temporal FFT). This was recorded on my cell phone (Android) with the Spectroid app (unsure it is available
for iPhones …). </div>

<div>Hope this can be helpful for the few dinosaurs (as me) who still use side-entry cryo-electron microscopes ;-)</div>
