faculty position in cryo electron microscopy. Applicants with expertise in cryo electron tomography are particularly encouraged to apply. The Department seeks to expand its strengths in structural, cardiovascular, cancer, membrane and chemical biology towards
high resolution cryo electron microscopy/tomography of molecular complexes and cellular structures in situ. The Department is closely affiliated with UVA’s Molecular Electron Microscopy Core facility providing access to state-of-the art cryo-EM resources (Titan
Krios and Glacios with Gatan K3 and Falcon 4 direct electron detectors, respectively, and F20 with CMOS camera). An Aquilos-2 cryo focused ion beam scanning electron microscope (cryo FIB-SEM) will be installed in the Fall 2023. </span></p>
