seeking to recruit a Scientist/Engineer to join our team. The EMCF provides
advanced expertise and service in electron microscopy: from sample preparation
to image </span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: rgb(26, 28, 26);" class="">acquisition</span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: rgb(26, 28, 26);" class=""> </span><span style="color: rgb(26, 28, 26);" class="">and for a large variety of biological samples
ranging from </span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: rgb(26, 28, 26);" class="">cells</span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: rgb(26, 28, 26);" class=""> </span><span style="color: rgb(26, 28, 26);" class="">to tissues. The EMCF offers routine access to 2D
and 3D ultrastructural characterization using transmission electron microscop</span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: rgb(26, 28, 26);" class="">y</span><span lang="EN-US" style="color: rgb(26, 28, 26);" class=""> </span><span style="color: rgb(26, 28, 26);" class="">(TEM), TEM tomography, focused ion
beam SEM (FIBSEM), Serial block face SEM (SBEM), immuno-localization at the
subcellular level, high-throughput TEM and correlative light and electron
microscopy (CLEM).</span></div><div class=""><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" class="">The candidate will be responsible for </span>maintaining <span lang="EN-US" class="">three</span> TEM’s (Tecnai F30 and JEOL 2100<span lang="EN-US" class="">P</span>lus<span lang="EN-US" class="">, JEOL 1400Flash), while providing training
and support for our users</span>. <span lang="EN-US" class="">He/she</span><span lang="EN-US" class="">should have a good expertise in TEM imaging
and TEM tomography with an</span><span lang="EN-US" class=""> </span><span lang="EN-US" class="">excellent,</span> in-depth knowledge
of SerialEM <span lang="EN-US" class="">and IMOD software packages </span>in addition to
other computational data analysis packages. <span lang="EN-US" class="">The ideal candidate should be highly motivated to drive and help improve
image acquisition and processing workflows while bringing the microscopes to a
