<p class="MsoNormal">Workshop 5: CryoEM sample preparation training using center merit badges – at the American Crystallographic Association 72nd annual meeting in Portland, Oregon, July 29 through August 3, 2022.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This cryoEM focused workshop will be held at the Pacific Northwest CryoEM Center (PNCC) in the Robertson Life Science Building on July 29th from 9am to 4:30pm PT, and will primarily benefit those that are new to the field and are interested
in utilizing resources at the national cryoEM centers (<a href="https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.cryoemcenters.org&d=DwMFAw&c=-35OiAkTchMrZOngvJPOeA&r=L7-zyQ-04fFCMRqzLIOnx7H0exGZHwIQe_wMPuY600I&m=cTBgl_plDGFrqLgcvkXHLoLNL9LHEY0GUc406YJWwXhO0oqSVfUI_qka_29f-WzG&s=8tTsLrCFbE-D4ex00d00psxU1q6m2_n5Nwxem1Q_cIk&e=">www.cryoemcenters.org</a>). In this workshop, students will receive hands-on training toward earning of cryoEM merit badges, which qualify recipients for independent
use of specific instrumentation at the centers. CryoEM proficiency badges are awarded in three main skill areas (Sample preparation, Microscope operations and Data processing). In particular, this workshop will center on the "Sample Preparation" merit badges.<o:p></o:p></p>
