I am happy to announce that Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is recruiting for a tenure track position in the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of cryo-electron microscopy as part of a multi-position search. We are particularly interested in innovative
research proposals that utilize cryo-electron microscopy modalities including single-particle, tomography, subtomogram averaging, focused ion beam milling, correlative microscopy, and electron diffraction.<o:p> </o:p></p>

Rutgers New Jersey Medical School is located in Newark, New Jersey, 20 min away from New York City. The Rutgers CryoEM & Nanoimaging Facility, located in Piscataway, New Jersey, provides access to cryoEM and cryoET instrumentation, including a 200kV Talos Arctica
microscope, an Aquilos 2 FIB-SEM microscope, and a Leica cryo-CLEM system. A screening facility at the Newark campus that will house a 120kV Talos L120C microscope equipped with speed-enhanced Ceta camera and sample preparation equipment will be operational
in Q2 2021.<o:p> </o:p></p>

The successful candidate will hold an appointment in the Department of Microbiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics. Joint appointments with additional departments and centers will also be considered on a per case basis.<o:p> </o:p></p>

Qualified candidates must have a doctoral degree (MD, PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent), outstanding academic credentials and a demonstrated ability to obtain extramural funding.<o:p> </o:p></p>
