highly motivated candidates to join the lab of Dr. Anna Sundborger-Lunna in the
<b class="">Cryo-EM and Molecular Biology Sectio</b>n at the University of Minnesota Hormel
Institute. The goal of the </span><span style="font-family: Times;" class="">Sundborger-Lunna
lab </span><span style="font-family: Times;" class="">is to
elucidate how intracellular membrane trafficking and remodeling processes, such
as apoptosis and mitophagy are controlled and how dysregulation of these
pathways leads to cancer and neurodegenerative disease. The main focus is structural
determination of macromolecular complexes using cryo-EM and helical/single particle 3D
reconstruction. The new state-of-the-art cryo-EM facility at the Hormel
Institute is equipped with a 300kV Titan Krios with phase plates and a direct
