Hi - we use an ACE600 for carbon-coating TEM grids and iridium coating SEM samples. In general I'm happy with the results, especially with the metal coating. The carbon coating uses carbon strings, so there might be some variations between coats, especially
by different operators who may set the springs slightly differently, but generally in controllable range. We have ten people or so using it. I guess if you are the only one who uses it, it can be much more problem free. Greg</div>

results (thickness, floatability, homogeneity etc.). Foils with 2-2.5 nm thickness are no problem.</span></p>
