lab member’s EM experiments, after mastering all relevant EM techniques
including sample preparation, microscope operation and data collection. <span></span></span></p>

lab inventories, chemical inventory, equipment maintenance schedules, arranging
chemical waste collection, lab safety protocols, communicating with building

the Liao laboratory and EM environment<span></span></span></b></p>

<p class="gmail-MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The Liao laboratory focuses on
using single-particle cryo-EM to study the structure and function of membrane
proteins and DNA-protein complexes. Within the past four years, the Liao
laboratory has generated a number of high-resolution cryo-EM reconstructions
documented in several recent publications (<a href="https://liao.hms.harvard.edu/publications">https://liao.hms.harvard.edu/publications</a>).

<p class="gmail-MsoNormalCxSpMiddle" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The EM instruments conveniently accessible
to the lab members are in the local HMS EM suite (CM10, T12, TF20, Polara), the
new HMS center for cryo-EM (Talos Arctica, two Krios), and UMass cryo-EM
