<p><span style="mso-ansi-language:EN-GB" lang="EN-GB">The Structural Biology Programme at CNIO has just been renewed, with 3 new groups and the incorporation of the latest advances and expertise in high-resolution cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). A new cryo-EM
microscope with energy filter and a Gatan K3 detector will be installed at CNIO in 2018, and we have also access to a FEI Talos Arctica with Falcon 3 detector nearby.</span></p>
<p><span style="mso-ansi-language:EN-GB" lang="EN-GB">Our goal is to use cryo-EM to analyse the structure and function of large complexes of relevance in cancer, mostly focused on DNA repair processes. This position will provide the candidate a stimulating
environment in cancer research, and in frontier cryo-EM imaging technology. The candidate will receive training in multidisciplinary research, covering from cell culture, cloning and protein production, molecular biology, cryo-EM, image processing and high-resolution
protein modelling. The candidate will engage in one of the current active projects in the group.
