<p class="MsoNormal">As part of the expansion of the Centre for Ultrastructural Imaging at King’s College London, I am looking to recruit an enthusiastic Cryo-EM applications specialist. The post will play a central role in developing the Centre’s capability
in advanced cryo-electron microscopy, and the application of these techniques and methods across the biomedical, health and physical sciences communities at King’s. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">CUI is a collaborative research focused facility and the successful candidate will work closely with researchers to strengthen their knowledge of cryo-EM techniques, understanding of how these may be best utilised in their scientific area,
and in developing applications to meet their specific research needs. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">We have completed a multi-million pound re-equip and total refurbishment to create a dynamic and diverse EM facility. CUI has high end TEM with DDD cameras (Direct Electron DE64 and 16), phase plates and EFTEM. We also have high resolution
cryoFEGSEM, freeze fracture, high pressure freezing and cryoCLEM equipment. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This new role provides an exciting opportunity to join the existing team and support the Krios equipped Wellcome-Trust funded London Consortium to establish high-resolution structural cryo-electron microscopy (LonCEM) and instrument development
as part of the Rosalind-Franklin Institute. </p>
