(cryo-EM) being established in the Advanced Microscopy Facility of the Bio21 Institute. The appointee with expertise in
</span><span style="font-size:14.0pt">cryo EM </span><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:#1A1617">(preferably) and/or crystallography
</span><span style="font-size:14.0pt">will contribute to the continued development of this discipline and underpinning technologies at the University of Melbourne. The appointee
</span><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:#1A1617">will also have the opportunity to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching programs and academic administration in the Department and University.

<p class="Default"><span style="font-size:14.0pt;color:#1A1617">The appointee will have the opportunity to collaborate in the multi-disciplinary research environment of the Bio21 Institute. The Department has existing and developing strengths in
</span><span style="font-size:14.0pt">molecular cell biology, membrane biology, protein misfolding and neurological diseases, host-pathogen interactions, molecular immunology, computational and systems biology and signalling. Being located in Australia’s largest
and most prestigious biomedical precinct will also afford the appointee many collaborative opportunities with access to world-class facilities at the University and many adjacent research institutes.
