 of Imperial College London (<a href="http://www.specklab.com">http://www.specklab.com</a>/). The Postdoctoral position is full-time for 3 years with the possibility for extension and the salary range is £33,860 - £42,830 per annum.The successful applicant
 will become part of a group of multi-disciplinary colleagues and collaborators and will investigate fundamental biological mechanisms in eukaryotic DNA replication using cryo-EM approaches.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A vital property of all living things is the ability to replicate their DNA, allowing cells to pass on their genetic material from parent to progeny. The successful
 candidate will employ cryo-EM to address two of the most fundamental questions in eukaryotic DNA replication: how the replicative helicase becomes loaded onto DNA and activated for DNA synthesis. This knowledge will be crucial to understand how misregulation
 of DNA replication leads to disease and for the development of novel DNA replication inhibitors with potential as anti-cancer drugs.  
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The work will be performed in collaboration with Prof. Xiaodong Zhang (Imperial College London), Prof. Richard Henderson (MRC, Laboratory of Molecular Biology) and
 our long-term collaborator Prof. Huilin Li (Brookhaven National Laboratory), who will also help to mentor and advise a postdoctoral fellow. The candidate will have full access to the well-equipped cryo-EM facility at Imperial College London. Regular access
 to a Titan Krios will be possible. By joining the group the candidate will not only participate in high profile research projects, but will be also mentored in successful grant writing, networking and publishing. Crucially, the candidate will also have direct
