Research projects will be focused on the structure/function of molecular chaperone complexes using single particle cryo-EM approaches. The LSI is a distinguished, multi-disciplinary research enterprise at the University of Michigan that opened in 1999 with the mission to accelerate scientific discovery through collaborative research environments. Within the institute there are currently 23 faculty that span 14 departments as well as centers for Chemical Genomics, Structural Biology and the Discovery of New Medicines.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Candidates should hold a PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry or biophysics and have previous experience in cryo-EM, biochemistry or protein crystallography.
