applicant will investigate the structure of membrane scaffolds by electron microscopy. The project aims to understand how synaptic scaffolds are formed.</span></p>

<span style="line-height: 14.7200002670288px; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Downstream of the protein structure, we are also interested in the biochemical/biophysical properties of these samples. Therefore, the candidate should possess a PhD in Biochemistry
(or a related field) and experience in the purification of membrane proteins as well as knowledge of structural biology. <span style="background-image: initial; background-repeat: initial;">A high level of motivation and good communication</span></span> <span style="background-image: initial; background-repeat: initial;">skills
are required.</span> The project is part of a larger collaborative effort between me and labs in- and outside of Sweden. Besides existing collaborations, there is ample opportunity to form new collaborations. Our lab has access to a full electron microscopy
facility, including an electron microscope that will be equipped with a direct electron detector. The position is currently funded for one year.</p>
