Dear all,
I am seeking to recruit a postdoctoral fellow for Cryo-EM studies. Please see details below.
Position description: Seeking a postdoctoral fellow to lead studies in structural characterization of amyloid fibrils using Cryo-EM. The position will involve developing new experimental and computational pipelines to probe amyloid structure variants and amyloid structure ensembles. The post-doctoral fellow will train in close collaboration with Cryo-EM experts at the UofA and will have priority access to a new state-of-the-art Cryo-EM facility featuring a Titan Krios IV with a Falcon4i detector and energy filter and supporting pre-screening and computational infrastructure. The position is available immediately for a 1-year term (renewable).
Position requirements: The successful applicant will have a PhD in molecular biology or a related field (biochemistry, cell biology, biophysics) and accompanying publications supporting their experience with leading studies and working in collaborative teams. Preferred skills include prior experience with protein purification and structural biology techniques (e.g. Cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography).
How to Apply: Please email a cover letter, your CV and a copy/link of relevant publications to sueann at ualberta.ca
Sincerely,
Sue-Ann Mok, PhD (she/her)
