Dear Colleagues,
A 2-year postdoc position is available to contribute to a protein
engineering project by redesigning thermophilic carbon-fixing enzymes.
The project utilizes structural techniques (crystallography and
single-particle cryoEM), biochemical techniques (protein expression and
purification, enzyme assays, mutagenesis) and computational studies
(phylogenetics and Molecular Dynamics) to identify mutations that reduce
the temperature of activity of the enzymes.
Experience working with enzymes required including cloning in E coli,
expression, purification, and enzyme assays. Structural biology experience
required in crystallography or single particle cryoEM.
Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter explaining
their experience and interests to: Bob Rose, Associate Professor at North
Carolina State University, email: bob_rose at ncsu.edu
Thank you,
Bob Rose
