Utilizing structural biology as a focal point, our goal is to establish a multidisciplinary research project that integrates our structural findings into the broader context of cellular and animal infection. We have a well-established network of collaborators, and we anticipate the biomedical potential of our research to span from the development of attenuated vaccines to the creation of new antiviral drugs aimed at combating emerging RNA viruses. This project is both ambitious and challenging, offering the potential for significant impact.


The ViMaC team is a dynamic and growing group with a diverse, multinational, and inclusive environment. We are actively seeking candidates with a recent Ph.D. in biochemistry or structural biology, possessing a background in protein expression and purification. Ideally, candidates will have experience in cryoEM or X-Ray crystallography. The position starts with a two-year contract funded by the EU project PANVIPREP.
