[3dem] Requesting funds to establish an endowment honoring Mavis Agbandje-McKenna

Dear colleagues,



Tuli Mukhopadhyay, Becky Dutch and I are launching efforts to establish an endowed lectureship through the American Society for Virology to honor Dr. Mavis Agbandje-Mckenna. These funds would support a Plenary Talk in her honor at the annual ASV meeting. We aim to include scientists working in gene therapy/translational medicine, women speakers, structural biologists, junior faculty, faculty recognized for their outstanding mentoring, and speakers from Africa or from other underrepresented groups.
