There are 2 postdoctoral position open to work on ESCRT-III complexes at 
the Strucural Biology Institute in Grenoble, France.

Located on the Grenoble Science Park (ESRF/ILL/EMBL/IBS), the Institute 
of Structural Biology (IBS) is a national and international player in 
the field of integrated structural biology. The IBS is a research 
centre, a technical platform, a host site and a scientific training 
centre. Its vocation is to develop research in structural biology, a 
field of research that is crucial to the understanding of fundamental 
biological mechanisms. It is supported by 12 state-of-the-art platforms.
As a joint research unit (CEA-CNRS-UGA), the IBS is made up of 19 
research groups, each of which offers a multi-disciplinary approach, at 
the frontiers of biology, physics and chemistry, in line with three 
research areas. Nearly 300 people work here as researchers, PhD 
students, engineers and technicians in a multicultural and international 
environment.

The candidates will employ cryo electron microscopy, single particle 
analyses and tomography, to understand the molecular details of 
ESCRT-III filament assembly, alone, on membranes and on DNA. The IBS is 
equipped with T12, F20 and Glacios (equipped with a Falcon 2 and K2 
summit direct electron detectors) microscopes. Furthermore, Krios 
microscopes can be accessed locally (ESRF CM01 and ESRF CRG FRISBI CM02 
platforms).
