Staff Scientist or Postdoc positions in Proteomics
The New York Structural Biology Center (nysbc.org) is seeking an expert scientist in Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry. The individual will be working in tight collaboration with the Simons Electron Microscopy Center (semc.nysbc.org) and developing methods for structural and ultrasensitive proteomics. Come and join a buzzing community working with the latest technology in structural biology in the center of New York. The team is an interdisciplinary community of experts in microscopy, engineering, image processing, software development, and cell and structural biology.

The focus of this position will be predominantly on method development; therefore, a good knowledge of Liquid Chromatography systems will be critical for success. All the experiments will be done in a framework that validates the data obtained through in situ cryo-electron tomography (visual proteomics). Accordingly, proficiency in data analyses for proteomics is required, but the capacity to develop new pipelines will be a significant plus. This position will be extremely interdisciplinary, therefore curiosity and willingness to learn new methods and approach neighboring fields are essential for success.

Salary: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year based on qualifications
