The cryoEM team at Genentech is looking for a new colleague.

We are looking for an electron microscopist to join our department of
Structural Biology as a Senior or Principal System Specialist. You would
join our core cryoEM team, who is responsible for running microscopes and
ancillary equipment, collecting high-quality data, optimizing image
processing workflows, helping researchers optimize their samples for
cryoEM, and generally collaborating with structural biologists to enable
structure determination of a wide range of targets. You would support a mix
of company-wide drug discovery projects in several therapeutic areas, as
well as collaborative research and technology development projects
(hardware and software). We are hoping to identify candidates who have
experience with both single-tilt as well as tilt-series data collection
(i.e. both cryoEM and cryoET).

The cryoEM facility at Genentech houses two Titan Krios microscopes
equipped with energy filters and direct detectors (Bioquantum K3;
SelectrisX Falcon4), a Talos 200C equipped with CetaD, and a Glacios
equipped with a K2, as well as the usual ancillary equipment for sample
preparation and plunge-freezing, including Vitrobot and Leica GP2. It
benefits from generous, centralized, high-performance computing and data
storage resources.
