Dear Colleagues,

Attached to this email you find a flyer for a conference I am organising this summer in Oxford. Maybe you have seen an announcement about it already, but I wanted to point it out to you especially because I think it might be especially interesting for you and your collaborators.

In the meeting we aim to explore the intersection of high-resolution imaging of molecules (SPM and cryo-TEM) and mass spectrometry, looking into instrumentation, fundamental insights, new experiments, and promising applications. Many of it relates to soft- and reactive landing electrospray ion beam deposition.

There are a few places available still. The conference is quite affordable, especially for students, as the fee includes accommodation and catering. Until 30 June, you can still register with an abstract for a talk or poster, after that only attendance (with a request if there is still accommodation available).

You find further information online<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/rauschenbach.chem.ox.ac.uk/msm_22.aspx__;!!Mih3wA!Hejxi18SK_C-zAxNdDi9Io4pphuD4znA6D1G0dFhYVT9bGbYOxAH8DW96mH_Xifteo2hu_6EKQcBxaVr74rTgigschaEM9mz4X5M$> and also below. Please feel free to pass this along to interested colleagues. Do not hesitate to contact me if you want to know more - after a long time over the pandemic and my move to the UK I would be pleased to hear from you anyhow.).

All the best
Stephan Rauschenbach

Sunday, August 14, 2022 - Thursday, August 18, 2022

Combing precise chemical information from mass spectrometry (MS) with high-resolution imaging methods like electron microscopy (cryoEM, TEM) or scanning probe microscopy (AFM, STM) pushes the frontiers and scope of chemical and structural analysis to atomic resolution of individual complex molecules.

This workshop meeting brings together an emerging community of scientists from analytical, preparative, and native mass spectrometry, molecular electron microscopy (EM) and scanning probe microscopy (SPM) to explore the possibilities and challenges of the novel approaches at the frontier of native mass spectrometry and single molecule imaging.

The conference handle, MS+M_22, stands for Mass Spectrometry plus Microscopy.
