The Astbury Biostructure Lab (University of Leeds) is partnering with eBIC (Diamond light source) Scottish Centre for Macromolecular Imaging (University of Glasgow), Midlands Regional Cryo-EM Facility (University of Leicester) and Birkbeck college (University of London) to host training courses between 2021-2026 in cryoEM.
We are offering courses for those new to cryoEM as well as those looking to build their knowledge and practical experience. The first wave of courses includes;

2)    Cryo-electron tomography- including sample prep<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__astbury.leeds.ac.uk_cryo-2Delectron-2Dtomography-2Dsample-2Dpreparation-2Dtitan-2Dkrios-2Ddata-2Dacquisition_&d=DwIGaQ&c=-35OiAkTchMrZOngvJPOeA&r=L7-zyQ-04fFCMRqzLIOnx7H0exGZHwIQe_wMPuY600I&m=Q0l5ybXu1tcP2t-Ur7IvF_QlNFGVQTyKggBTESpzeHY&s=YmhqZhWrFj0GJsBF3fkqVYpVTiykLLVIfIvPWfZo0jI&e= >- Remote course, 24-28th January 2022. Registration opens 15th November
Please follow the links for information and to register. These courses may be remote, but you will be able to get hands on experience on Titan Krios microscopes as well as sessions on theory, sample preparation and on-the-fly data processing.
We will be launching (alongside remote training courses) on-site courses with travel bursaries available in 2022.  Courses are open to academic researchers globally (although delivered on London time!). If you are based within industry, please get in touch to discuss training options available to you.
There are lots of exciting plans in the works for further courses and sharing of resources- but this is a community led training programme so if there are specific bottlenecks you experience that could be solved through training or resources please get in touch via EMcourses at leeds.ac.uk<mailto:EMcourses at leeds.ac.uk>
