We are looking for a staff scientist (French CNRS grade: research engineer) who will assist and train users for their image analysis projects, as well as develop and maintain METi's cryo-EM image processing pipeline.
    METi hosts a range of electron microscopes including a Talos Arctica with phase plates and energy-filtered K2, and ancillaries equipments for sample preparation in classical and cryo conditions (Leica EMGP, EM ICE hpf, AFS2, cryoultramicrotome UC7/FC7)...Applicants should hold a PhD in biology / biophysics, a proven expertise in cryo-EM images analysis with a strong interest on the computational part of this approach. If necessary, training in cryo-EM grids preparation and image acquisition will be available for those with the appropriate computational background.    The position is available as a 2 years contract for a start, with possibilities of becoming permanent pending opening of a national staff scientist hiring competition.
