Dear all,

We invite requests for institutional Topaz<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://emgweb.nysbc.org/topaz.html__;!!Mih3wA!WF-gzdbqK8bjr4e4Zas4-wFEOkxgKx2O95oaxWH5fTlIgWz61AuQJxT01b8Ydzp4bQ$ > picking<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.nature.com/articles/s41592-019-0575-8__;!!Mih3wA!WF-gzdbqK8bjr4e4Zas4-wFEOkxgKx2O95oaxWH5fTlIgWz61AuQJxT01b84Ljwg5Q$ > and denoising<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-020-18952-1__;!!Mih3wA!WF-gzdbqK8bjr4e4Zas4-wFEOkxgKx2O95oaxWH5fTlIgWz61AuQJxT01b88DB12xg$ > workshops to optimize your cryoEM workflow. A 2-hour workshop will be held by remote video conference for your institution.

In the workshop we will explain and show hands-on best practices for using Topaz to maximize the number of particles picked in your cryoEM datasets. Hands-on walkthroughs of standalone Topaz and CryoSPARC-Topaz will be shown. Several labs have already found that Topaz is critical for picking significantly more particles than other pickers (some over 2x), resulting in higher resolution structures, better classification, and more complete Euler angle distributions. Topaz excels at picking elongated proteins, small proteins, and proteins amongst aggregation. Here are DOIs of several examples: 10.1038/s41586-020-2665-2<https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-020-2665-2__;!!Mih3wA!WF-gzdbqK8bjr4e4Zas4-wFEOkxgKx2O95oaxWH5fTlIgWz61AuQJxT01b91YEXaVA$ >, 10.1101/2020.06.17.156554<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://doi.org/10.1101/2020.06.17.156554__;!!Mih3wA!WF-gzdbqK8bjr4e4Zas4-wFEOkxgKx2O95oaxWH5fTlIgWz61AuQJxT01b9vC6Jmbw$ >, 10.1101/2020.10.18.344481<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://doi.org/10.1101/2020.10.18.344481__;!!Mih3wA!WF-gzdbqK8bjr4e4Zas4-wFEOkxgKx2O95oaxWH5fTlIgWz61AuQJxT01b_mhqHfsA$ >, 10.1038/s41594-020-0503-8<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://doi.org/10.1038/s41594-020-0503-8__;!!Mih3wA!WF-gzdbqK8bjr4e4Zas4-wFEOkxgKx2O95oaxWH5fTlIgWz61AuQJxT01b9yjxaAPA$ >, 10.7554/eLife.60265<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://doi.org/10.7554/eLife.60265__;!!Mih3wA!WF-gzdbqK8bjr4e4Zas4-wFEOkxgKx2O95oaxWH5fTlIgWz61AuQJxT01b8Z5Pe3ZQ$ >, 10.1073/pnas.2008111117<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://doi.org/10.1073/pnas.2008111117__;!!Mih3wA!WF-gzdbqK8bjr4e4Zas4-wFEOkxgKx2O95oaxWH5fTlIgWz61AuQJxT01b_gN_AvuQ$ >, 10.1096/fj.202000796RR<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://doi.org/10.1096/fj.202000796RR__;!!Mih3wA!WF-gzdbqK8bjr4e4Zas4-wFEOkxgKx2O95oaxWH5fTlIgWz61AuQJxT01b9qgvjxUw$ >
