The Electron Microscopy Facility of the Vienna Biocenter Core Facilities, the Schur group at IST Austria, and Nexperion – Solutions for Electron Microscopy are pleased to announce a jointly organised international

Advanced Workshop on Cryo-Electron Tomography
Vienna, Austria, Europe (on-site)
May 7 – 13, 2022

for students, post-doctoral staff, scientists, and group leaders from academia and industry.

This workshop targets an advanced audience with pre-existing knowledge in electron tomography, data processing and/or cryo-TEM but the initial days offer an opportunity for less experienced participants to catch-up. It is planned to cover

Specimen preparation techniques for cryo-electron tomography
Cryo-CLEM
Low-dose data collection with SerialEM
Direct detectors
Cryo-STEM tomography
Processing of low-dose tilt series with IMOD
Modelling and interpretation of cryo-electron tomography data
Subtomogram averaging with PEET and other software
New approaches to cryo-ET image processing
