Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology is looking for a



Cryo-Electron Microscopy Specialist



to join the Imaging Section Team.



The Imaging Section (IMG) is part of the Research Support Division at OIST that manages the research core facility light and electron microscopy. IMG provides technical support, teaching and collaborations for research projects. IMG has been adopted as a member of the project “Basis for Supporting Innovative Drug Discovery and Life Science Research (BINDS, FY2017-FY2021, 1st April 2017 - 31st March 2022)” funded by the Japan Agency for Medical Research (AMED). We provide technical support on molecular, structural analysis using cryo-electron microscopy to external researchers through AMED and develop technology. Recently, we started a training programme on single particle analysis within the BINDS consortium aimed at young researchers to spread SPA technology.



The Cryo-Electron Microscopy Specialist will be employed on the AMED grant for BINDS.
