Call for Proposals: cryoFIB instruments and expertise at eBIC

Dear User,

We are pleased to announce the call for proposals for user access to cryoFIB instruments and expertise at eBIC.

There will be two modes of access: Rapid and Standard

*	 <https://www.diamond.ac.uk/Users/Apply-for-Beamtime/Rapid-Access.html> Rapid access (available from June 19th 2019):

*	Consists of a single day cryoFIB session with samples imaged at your home institution.
*	Existing eBIC users may combine a Rapid session with their Krios session.
*	Rapid proposals will be reviewed by eBIC staff.

*	Standard access (beamtime allocated from December 2019):

*	Consists of three days of CryoFIB milling and two days of Krios tomography (total 5 eBIC days).
*	All Standard proposals are peer-reviewed.

In all cases, grid quality (ice thickness, sample density, etc.) will be assessed before progressing to further stages of review. Milling will be performed on a maximum of two autogrids per day.

All proposals should be submitted online in the <http://uas.diamond.ac.uk/> UAS

If you have any questions please contact <mailto:james.gilchrist at diamond.ac.uk> james.gilchrist at diamond.ac.uk

Best wishes
eBIC at Diamond
