[3dem] Postdoctor or PhD positions

[Li, Hongmin (HEALTH)]

Three to four Postdoctoral and/or PhD candidate positions in structural biology and microbiology are immediately available at the Li lab in the Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health, Albany NY (https://www.wadsworth.org/research/laboratories/li/li-laboratory ). The Li lab focuses on both basic biology and development of therapeutics against human pathogens such as Dengue virus, Zika virus, Cryptococcus fungi, and mycobacteria. The candidates will perform experiments related to basic biology and therapeutic development, including, but not limited to, molecular genetics, cell culture, antibody development, microbiology, cryo-EM, and membrane protein preparation, characterization, and structure determination. The positions will be funded for 1-3 years or longer, and come with full benefits. Highly motivated and creative individuals with rich experience in cryo-EM, membrane protein crystallography, Cryptococcus fungi and mycobacteria are particularly encouraged to apply.
