Dear All,

A three-year POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP position is available immediately in the Tsai lab at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. The Tsai lab uses structural analysis techniques including X-ray crystallography, single-particle cryo-EM, and electron cryotomography (cryo-ET) to determine the structure, function, and mechanism of energy-dependent macromolecular machines involved in protein quality control and stress response signaling (e.g. PNAS 2010; PNAS 2016; Cell Rep. 2019).

The successful applicant must be highly-motivated and possess hands-on experience in electron cryomicroscopy. Prior experience in protein biochemistry, enzymology or gene cloning is an advantage. Applicants should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and should have a recent Ph.D. in a relevant field. Salary is commensurate with experience and pegged to the current NIH scale. This position is funded by the Welch foundation and the successful applicant will be designated a Welch Postdoctoral Fellow.

To apply, please send your CV, description of research experience, and contact information for three referees to ftsai at bcm.edu. Further information may be found at the group's web site at https://www.bcm.edu/research/labs/francis-tsai

Cheers,
Francis
