[3dem] 2 Postdoctoral positions available at NTU in Singapore

I am posting the following content on behalf of my supervisor Dr. Shashi Bhushan, Asst. Prof, NTU Singapore:



Two postdoctoral positions are available in my group starting from June this year at the School of Biological Sciences and Nanyang Institute of Structural Biology, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. The project aims to study the structure and function of mycobacterial membrane proteins with cryo-EM and single particle analysis. Our laboratory has access to the state-of-the-art cryo-electron microscopes (Fei 120 kV, Fei 200 Arctica and Fei 300 kV Titan Krios)  with direct electron detectors (Falcon 3 and K2) for high-resolution structure determination.



We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a recent PhD in Structural Biology, Infectious biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics or related disciplines who are willing to work on challenging projects to unravel molecular mechanisms of mycobacterial membrane proteins.



Requirements for Position1:

Practical experience as evident by the publication in protein expression and purification, as well as X-ray crystallography and/or Cryo-EM are essential for this position.



Requirements for Position2:

Practical experience as evident by the publication in Mycobacterial (Mycobacterium smegmatis) genetics and molecular biology is essential for this position. Interested candidates should have experience in affinity tagging of endogenous proteins by homologous recombination for protein purification.
