[3dem] Quantifoils

Hi Scott,

We order directly from Quantifoil for $380/100grids.  We have always
waited 4-5 months to get our order so as soon as we receive the package, I
place another order.   The last order we received was in February so I
have not been aware of any shortages lately.

Dear Colleagues,

My university has a contract with VWR, and we order Quantifoils through
them. They in turn get the grids from EMS. We have been waiting on an
order for over 6 months, and now they tell us that Quantifoils are on
indefinite backorder. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a global
Quantifoil shortage, or are we just stuck in a bureaucratic quagmire? How
do other folks get their grids?
