Dear all,
Group leader positions are available at Molecular Infection Medicine
Sweden (MIMS), based at Umeå University. MIMS is the Swedish node of the
Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine.

Up to three group leaders in molecular infection medicine will be
appointed. For one of the appointments, applicants should have plans to
use cryo-electron microscopy, as the group leader will be affiliated
with the Swedish National Facility for Cryo-EM.

Umeå is a real hotspot of interesting infection biology. One of the
first appointees at MIMS - Emmanuelle Charpentier - went on to become
one of the pioneers of CRISPR/Cas9, so MIMS offers both excellent
resources and a (recent) history of new groups doing extremely well. In
addition, the newly inaugurated cryo-EM facility has everything a
microscopist's heart can desire (Krios with VPP, Falcon III, energy
filter and K2, Scios and Talos).
