[3dem] 2 Cryo-EM Postdoctoral Fellow Positions

Two postdoctoral positions are available in the lab of Wei Lü<https://lulab.vai.org/> at Van Andel Research Institute<http://www.vai.org/> in Grand Rapids, MI.


We are looking for two highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with background in structural biology, biophysics or related disciplines to join the lab of Wei Lü at Van Andel Research Institute in Grand Rapids, MI. We focus on studying structure and mechanism of ion channels and transmembrane receptors that are linked to neurological diseases and cancers (for a recent publication see: https://www.nature.com/articles/nature24674). A combined approach of single particle cryo-EM, patch clamp electrophysiology, and x-ray crystallography will be employed to investigate the atomic structures and biological functions of these targets. The cryo-EM facility at VARI host the state of the art electron microscopes (Titan Krios, Talos Arctica) equipped with K2 and Falcon3 detectors. The K2 detector will be upgraded to K3 in 2018.
