[3dem] Postdoctoral position in University of Minnesota

A NIH-funded post-doctoral scientist position is available immediately at
Institute for Molecular Virology, University of Minnesota. The successful
candidate studies the cell entry mechanism of small-enveloped viruses using
cryo-EM methods. The project focuses on understanding the oligomerizational
and organizational changes of the type-II fusion proteins during low-pH
triggered membrane fusion. The candidate is expected to prepare specimen,
perform cryo-EM data collection and image analysis.


 Strong background in either of molecular biology, virology, protein
structure determination, cryo-EM and image-processing is required.
Candidates must have completed PhD at the time of the appointment.
