A tenure-track faculty position is open in at Oregon Health & Science
University.  Applicants are sought with interests in the basic molecular or
cellular biosciences, and who could take a leadership role in the
development of the newly established OHSU/FEI Living Lab, including a Titan
Krios transmission cryo-electron microscope (TEM), a Helios NanoLab DualBeam
microscope, an integrated electron and light microscope (Technai with iCorr)
and a super resolution fluorescence microscopy (http://tinyurl.com/cl2va5w).
The recruitment will be to the Center for Spatial Systems Biomedicine
(http://www.ohsu.edu/ocssb) with possible academic appointments in
Biomedical Engineering and/or other basic science departments.  This notice
is in addition to the previously announced similar opening in the Department
of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology.  In both cases, the successful
applicant will be expected to develop an independent, extramurally-funded
basic science research program, and to contribute to research training
programs as well as medical education.  Preference will be given to
candidates with experience in the application of electron microscopy to
problems in cell biology.  The appointment can be at the Assistant or
Associate Professor level, so both junior and mid-level candidates are
encouraged to apply.
