Xmipp has some programs to determine the rotational spectra by analysis of the harmonics.
I.e., you may perfectly separate 3-fold and 6-fold classes within a 2D image datasets of a helicase:

I don't know if that's what you are looking for.

I'm working on some macromolecules with symmetry.
Unfortunately, it shows combination of different symmetry.
I want to know the intrinsic symmetry inside.
I'm wondering anyone has or knows any script to determine the rotation symmetry in 3D volume.
