[3dem] Amphipols Workshop, April 17-19 2012, Cleveland Ohio

Dear Colleagues,

  We are pleased to inform you that the next workshop on the applications
of amphipols to membrane protein studies will take place in Cleveland
(Ohio) on April 17.-19., 2012. One day will be dedicated to presenting the
fundamentals and such applications as membrane protein stabilization,
folding, cell-free synthesis, immobilization, structural studies by NMR and
electron microscopy, and vaccine formulation, all subjects on which much
progress has been made during the past few years, with distinguished
speakers coming from Europe and the US. The next two days will be dedicated
to hands-on training, with an introduction to *i)* trapping membrane
proteins with amphipols and characterizing the resulting complexes, and *ii)
* using amphipols to fold membrane proteins. For a more or less up-to-date
