[3dem] Postdoc positions available -- Wadsworth Center

Dear Colleagues,

Two postdoctoral positions are available at the Wadsworth Center (Albany,
NY) in the laboratories of Zheng Liu and Terry Wagenknecht to conduct
structural studies of the excitation-contraction apparatus in striated
muscle by cryo-electron microscopy with single particle and tomographic
methods.  The projects are funded by several federal grants.  Scientists
with prior experience in cryo-electron microscopy and/or single-particle
image analysis are preferred.  Highly qualified applicants may be
considered for a more advanced position as Research Scientist with
opportunities for independence, advancement and enhanced salary/benefits.

For over 30 years the Wadsworth Center has been recognized as a leader in
the development and applications of cryo-electron microscopy to subcellular
structures.  The 3D-EM Facility is fully equipped for all aspects of
cryo-EM (see http://www.wadsworth.org/rvbc/index.html for more detail).
Recent instrument acquisitions include a JEOL 3200FSC 300kV FEG cryo-TEM
with energy filtering and phase plates and a Zeiss focused ion beam/SEM.
