[3dem] CryoEM Specialist position at UCSF

We have an immediate opening of a cryoEM Specialist position at UCSF. The Keck Advanced Microscopy Laboratory at UCSF is a very well equipped cryoEM facility, shared by David Agard, Yifan Cheng and John Sedat laboratories. It houses a FEI Polara equipped with a Gatan K2 camera and GIF energy filter with an lens coupled UltraCam camera, a TF20 microscope equipped with a TVIPS 8K x 8K camera, a T20 and a T12, both equipped with 4K ultraScan cameras, etc. The facility is supervised by a staff manager.

In addition to work on cryoEM related projects in Yifan Cheng laboratory, this specialist will also provide technique support to the cryoEM community of UCSF, as well as provide training and support to users from other UCSF laboratories. The ideal candidate for this position must have a Ph.D. degree and is an expert in cryoEM. A strong communication skill, capable to work collaboratively, and a strong training/experience in electron microscopy are required. We also encourage TEM experts with physics background to apply.
