[3dem] Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 discontinued

Dear all,  

We are trying to acquire a Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 for our lab. When we have contacted Nikon they, surprisingly, have communicated me that “Nikon scanner range has been recently discontinued and none of them can be acquired new any longer”. Do you know anything about this?  

Additionally, if the Zeiss SCAI/ZI Photoscan was discontinued and now the Nikon SuperCoolscan has been also discontinued, is there any alternative scanner for high resolution 3DEM?
