Post-doctoral position at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at 
Brandeis University

A post-doctoral position is immediately available to work on the 
structure of icosahedral viruses. Our laboratory has a 
well-established electron microscope facility for high-resolution 
imaging, and equipment for protein purification, sample preparation, 
and high-performance image processing.

The role of the post-doctoral researcher will be to work with 
researchers at Brandeis University (Grigorieff group) and Harvard 
Medical School (Harrison group) to set up a pipeline for fast 
high-resolution imaging of icosahedral viruses and to use this 
pipeline to image virus-antibody complexes. Experience in electron 
cryo-microscopy and image processing is desirable, but individuals 
with a background in X-ray crystallography and computational data 
processing are also welcome to apply.
